TOKYO -- Japanese financial group SBI Holdings will invest $100 million in U.S.-based startup Erebor Bank, aiming to acquire digital banking expertise and boost its U.S. business. The investment will be made through a U.S. subsidiary under plans announced Monday.
Erebor Bank成立于2025年，并异常迅速地获得了美国货币监理署颁发的银行特许状。Erebor的核心银行系统采用区块链技术，支持全天候结算。该银行还提供企业贷款，主要面向科技公司。
Erebor Bank was established in 2025 and obtained a bank charter from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency unusually quickly. Erebor's core banking system uses blockchain technology, supporting settlements around the clock. The bank also provides corporate loans, mainly to tech companies.
10月28日，SBI宣布与CRB Group建立业务联盟，CRB Group是Cross River Bank的母公司，后者处理所谓的嵌入式金融——即将传统零售金融服务整合到其他平台中。
On Oct. 28, SBI announced a business alliance with CRB Group, parent of Cross River Bank, which handles so-called embedded finance -- the integration of traditional retail financial services into other platforms.
