Asset Management Ltd. and Abu Dhabi investment firm Lunate are setting up a new residential developer to help drive the construction of premium housing developments across the Gulf, seeking to expand in the region’s real estate markets.

Alya, as the new development firm is named, will be based at the Dubai International Financial Centre, according to a statement on Tuesday. Brookfield and Lunate announced a $1 billion tie-up last year. Alya will focus on building an institutional platform for residential developments.
