A federal grand jury in Wichita returned an indictment Tuesday charging Kelly R. Cram, a 59-year-old postal worker, with stealing thousands of pieces of mail including hundreds of political flyers all related to Republican candidates, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas wrote in a release.

The Baxter Springs native was indicted on one count of unlawful secretion, destruction, and delay of mail, according to the release. Cram allegedly stole 4,404 pieces of mail beginning in October, according to the release.
