官员表示，聚合酶链式反应（PCR）检测可以检测出军团菌的存在，但无法表明该细菌是否存活，也不能确认某座冷却塔就是暴露来源。他们还重申，只有存活的军团菌才会致病。

官员敦促任何自8月下旬以来居住、工作或曾到访受影响地区并出现流感样症状的人，立即联系医疗服务提供者。

他们还表示，在受影响的邮政编码地区，淋浴、饮用自来水和使用空调都是安全的。官员指出，待在10栋建筑中的任何一栋内都不会带来额外风险。

周二下午6点，将在布朗克斯的大都会学院举行一场线下市政厅会议，供居民与公共卫生官员面对面交流。官员称，已有1人因南布朗克斯疫情死亡，另有5例确诊病例。

目前没有病例与洋基体育场相关联。此外，纽约市卫生局本月从未要求我们推迟比赛。

卫生局目前正在进行培养检测，以确定采集样本时是否存在活军团菌。培养结果最多需要两周时间。

为在培养检测继续进行期间降低持续暴露的风险，卫生局要求所有PCR检测呈阳性的冷却塔进行全面超卤化处理，包括排水、清洗和消毒。
