India’s markets regulator should reconsider allowing exchanges to list on their own platforms, NSE Chairman Srinivas Injeti said on Friday, a day after the bourse operator debuted on rival BSE at a valuation of about $47 billion.

NEW GROWTH AVENUES The Securities and Exchange Board of India has sought to curb speculative options trading by raising costs while encouraging growth in the cash market.

Chauhan said NSE would help develop the cash market if the government set out that objective through regulation.
