Ukrainian attacks inside Russia are helping push Moscow and Kyiv closer to the negotiating table, U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matt Whitaker said on Saturday, as President Donald Trump continues pressing Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to negotiate an end to the war.

Whitaker emphasized during "The Big Weekend Show" that it would take the cooperation of both adversaries to end the war, but said Ukraine "continuing to make strong attacks on Russia... is helping to, I think, bring the sides closer together." The ambassador cautioned that Moscow and Kyiv still remain "a long way apart" on key issues, adding that the resolution would not come through hostilities.
