吉隆坡：当地媒体报道称，马来西亚前总理马哈蒂尔·穆罕默德的妻子西蒂·哈斯玛·穆罕默德·阿里于周一（9月28日）逝世，享年100岁。她于当地时间上午9时20分左右在国家心脏研究所去世。
KUALA LUMPUR: Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, the wife of former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad, died on Monday (Sep 28) at the age of 100. She died at the National Heart Institute at about 9.20am, local media reported.
哈斯玛是一名医生，她借助自己作为前总理夫人的身份，倡导孕产妇健康、家庭计划、识字教育、预防药物滥用以及心理健康。
Hasmah was a doctor who used her platform as the former prime minister’s wife to advocate maternal health, family planning, literacy, drug abuse prevention and mental health.
她于7月12日庆祝了100岁生日。翌月，她被“东盟纪录”认定为健在的前总理配偶中年龄最长者。
She had celebrated her 100th birthday on Jul 12. The following month, she was recognised by ASEAN Records as the Oldest Living Spouse of a Former Prime Minister.
马来西亚国王苏丹易卜拉欣·苏丹·伊斯坎达尔周一在Facebook上发文，对哈斯玛的逝世表示哀悼。
Malaysian king Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar expressed condolences on the passing of Hasmah in a Facebook post on Monday.
苏丹易卜拉欣写道：“陛下们祈祷她的全家都能获得力量、坚韧与耐心，以应对失去挚爱亲人的悲痛。”现年101岁的马哈蒂尔曾于1981年至2003年以及2018年至2020年两度出任马来西亚总理。
“Their Majesties prayed that her entire family would be granted strength, fortitude and patience in coping with the loss of their beloved family member,” Sultan Ibrahim posted on Mahathir, 101, served as Malaysia’s prime minister for two periods - from 1981 to 2003 and from 2018 to 2020.
哈斯玛自1956年起便与马哈蒂尔结婚，两人在8月纪念了相守70周年。
Hasmah had been married to Mahathir since 1956 and they marked 70 years together in August.
