Russia on Wednesday accused European countries of using an alleged Russian threat to justify higher defense spending and rejected claims that Moscow plans to invade Europe.
俄罗斯驻都柏林大使馆在一份声明中驳斥了这些指控，称西方媒体每天都在重复“俄罗斯威胁”这一论调。声明指出，欧洲国家试图以此为借口来增加国防开支、推动欧洲的整体军事化进程，并进一步向乌克兰提供财政、军事和政治支持。
In a statement, the Russian Embassy in Dublin rejected claims that Russia plans to launch a military invasion of Europe or escalate an alleged hybrid campaign against European countries. “The slogan of ‘Russian threat’ is being recycled in the Western media on a daily basis,” the embassy said in a statement shared on US social media platform It claimed European countries were seeking to justify higher defense spending and the “overall militarization of Europe,” as well as further financial, military and political assistance to Ukraine.
大使馆表示，没有任何证据能够支持“俄罗斯即将入侵欧洲”的说法。声明还强调：“俄罗斯对欧洲安全局势的立场始终如一；这一立场已在9月25日由普京总统再次明确表示——我们没有计划、没有理由，更没有动机去加剧与欧洲的紧张关系。”
The embassy said there was nothing to support claims of an “imminent Russian invasion.”“Moscow’s position on the security situation in Europe has always been consistent and confirmed yet again by President (Vladimir) Putin on September 25 – we have no plans, no reasons and, most importantly, no real motives for aggravating situation with Europe,” it said.
针对立陶宛、波兰和法国联合举办的“Gallant Boar 2026”军事演习，大使馆指出该演习“专门针对”俄罗斯位于波罗的海沿岸的加里宁格勒地区，并声称有消息称北约正在准备对加里宁格勒及其周边地区实施空中和海上封锁。
Referring to Gallant Boar 2026, a joint military exercise by Lithuania, Poland and France, the embassy claimed the exercise was “specifically aimed” at Russia’s Kaliningrad region on the Baltic Sea. “There has been information that NATO is preparing air and naval blockade of Kaliningrad and Kaliningrad region,” it said.
加里宁格勒地区是俄罗斯位于波罗的海的一个飞地，被立陶宛领土与俄罗斯本土隔开。
The Kaliningrad region is a Russian exclave on the Baltic Sea between Poland and Lithuania and separated from mainland Russia by Lithuanian territory.

Calling the issue a “matter of grave concern” to Russia, the embassy said: “The irresponsible and shortsighted European political elite is playing a dangerous game.”‘Moscow would be ready to use all its arsenal’

The embassy cited Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as saying recently: “If the West attacks us, we will respond and it would be completely different war and a very brief one.”

Speaking at the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg on Sept. 16, Lavrov said that if Europe attacks Russia, the resulting war would be “completely different” and “very brief.”The embassy said Moscow would be ready to use its entire arsenal, “including nuclear weapons,” to defend its territory if NATO countries tried to isolate the Kaliningrad region from the rest of Russia.

“Under such scenario, the risk of armed confrontation is high with the likelihood of Russia using preemptive strikes against centers of decision-making in the Alliance countries already at the early stage of the conflict,” it warned. “It is a matter of utmost seriousness and should be treated by Europe as such,” the embassy added.
周二，俄罗斯驻英国大使馆也警告称，如果英国或北约试图封锁加里宁格勒地区，俄罗斯将采取一切必要措施进行回应，甚至可能动用核武器。
On Tuesday, the Russian Embassy in the UK also warned that any attempt by the UK or NATO to blockade the Kaliningrad region would be met with a response using all means, including nuclear weapons.
