The European Union on Friday pushed back against a US threat to ban any diesel exports unless the 28-member bloc releases more of its fuel stocks, “fully” rejecting the move, an EU official said.
欧盟委员会发言人安娜-凯萨·伊特科宁表示，欧盟“完全拒绝”美国威胁，如果欧洲不释放更多燃料储备，将禁止柴油出口。
The European Union “fully rejects” the threat made by the US to ban diesel exports if Europe does not release more of its fuel stocks, European Commission spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen said.
她说：“禁令对任何人都没有好处。这将动摇我们对美国作为可靠伙伴的信任。”她补充说，下一次欧盟石油协调小组会议定于10月15日举行，但如有需要可提前召开。
“A ban would not be beneficial to anyone. It would undermine our trust in the United States as a reliable partner,” she said, adding that the next EU’s Oil Coordination Group meeting is scheduled for October 15, but could be brought forward if needed.
