Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian that Russia will “do everything” to help end the United States-led war on Iran, Russian news agencies reported.
周四，在独联体成员国峰会召开前夕，两位领导人于土库曼斯坦举行会晤。据国际文传电讯社援引，普京对佩泽希齐扬说：“您了解我们的立场。我们愿意尽一切努力协助您化解当前局势。”
The two leaders met in Turkmenistan on Thursday ahead of the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a group of former Soviet nations. “You know our position. On our part, we are ready to do everything we can to help you resolve this situation,” Interfax news agency said Putin told Pezeshkian.
俄罗斯媒体还报道称，普京指出：“我们知道伊朗正在切实努力以结束这场并非由其引发、也非其过错所致的冲突。”此外，普京还提到当前伊朗与俄罗斯的关系正呈现“积极发展态势”。
“We know that Iran is making real efforts to end the conflict, which broke out through no fault of its own, no fault of Iran’s,” Putin said, according to Russian media. Putin also noted what he called a “positive evolution” in Iran-Russia relations.
据伊朗伊斯兰通讯社报道，周三通话时普京也曾向佩泽希齐扬表示，莫斯科愿为促成中东地区战争的终结发挥调解作用。上个月，普京与佩泽希齐扬还曾在吉尔吉斯斯坦举行的上海合作组织峰会期间会面。
In a call on Wednesday, Putin told Pezeshkian that Moscow is prepared to mediate efforts to end the war in the Middle East, Iran’s IRNA news agency reported. Putin and Pezeshkian also met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Kyrgyzstan last month.
这两国目前均遭受西方严厉制裁，但依然持续深化外交与军事领域的合作。去年，莫斯科与德黑兰签署了涵盖贸易、军事协作以及科技、文化、教育等多领域的《全面战略伙伴关系条约》。
Strategic partnership The two countries, which are under heavy Western sanctions, have reinforced diplomatic and military ties. Last year, Moscow and Tehran signed a “comprehensive strategic partnership treaty” that covers areas from trade and military cooperation to science, culture and education.

Ukraine and Western countries have accused Iran of supplying Russia with Shahed drones and short-range missiles for use in the Ukraine war. Russia has also been accused of supplying data to Iran for its attacks on US targets in the Middle East.

The meeting came as Iran-US talks stand at an apparent impasse. US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the US will not launch an attack on Iran before the November 3 US midterm congressional elections, saying the two countries are holding “productive” talks about ending the ongoing war. Diplomatic efforts to resolve Russia’s offensive in Ukraine also appear deadlocked, even as both sides intensify attacks.
