Katie has been with me, in spirit, from the very beginning, and will do a fantastic job!”Trump said in a Sunday evening Truth Social post.

Trump recently named Zacharia, a conservative commentator and former Trump Media communications adviser, as the next White House press secretary. “She was previously involved in my Campaigns, assisting in key Swing States, where we won 7 out of 7. She has an unblemished record of support, and has been a loyal and brilliant supporter, right from the beginning,” the president said in a Truth Social post on Friday. The New York Times was the first to report of Zacharia’s selection for the role.

Zacharia is set to step into a job vacated by Trump ally Karoline Leavitt, who stepped away from the administration earlier this year following the birth of her second child. She also took a job as a Fox News commentator.
