Lockheed Martin is looking to expand its production capabilities in India if it wins the bid to supply medium transport aircraft to the Indian armed forces, a senior company official has said.

India issued a tender in August for 60 medium transport aircraft at a cost of USD 10.5 billion.

The aerospace company said its proposal would include 12 aircraft in flyaway condition and 48 to be manufactured in India.
