香港及内地居民须先在两地出入境管理部门完成登记，方可使用经过改造后的皇岗口岸的自动化“联合通关”通道。预计该口岸正式启用后，每日将有约10万名旅客由此通行。
Hong Kong and mainland Chinese residents will have to with immigration authorities on both sides of the border to use automated “joint clearance” channels at the revamped Huanggang Port crossing, with around 100,000 travellers a day expected to use the control point when operations begin. Hong Kong’s Immigration Department would deploy sufficient manpower to help passengers at the checkpoint, assistant director Jacky Wong Ki said on Tuesday.
香港入境事务处助理处长黄之强周二表示，入境处将调配充足人手，协助旅客在检查站顺利通关。
“The whole registration process at the automated channel is very quick, it takes a few seconds to complete,” Wong said.
“通过自动化通道完成整个登记流程非常快捷，仅需几秒钟即可完成，”黄之强说道。
The “joint clearance” model will enable passengers to complete both departure and entry clearance procedures by presenting one identity document required by their destination and passing through a three-gated automated channel.
“联合通关”模式允许旅客只需出示目的地要求的身份证件，并通过设有三道闸门的自动化通道，即可一次性完成出境与入境手续。
Authorities said the new system could reduce the typical clearance time from about 30 minutes at the existing Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang crossing to five minutes at the revamped Huanggang Port building.
有关方面称，新系统有望将现有罗湖/皇岗口岸约30分钟的平均通关时间缩短至5分钟。待皇岗口岸启用后，原皇岗检查站的通关设施将永久停止运作。此前有消息称，改造后的检查站预计于10月12日正式开放。
The passenger clearance facilities at the existing Huanggang control point will permanently cease operations when Huanggang Port opens. A source earlier said the revamped checkpoint was expected to open on October 12. Adult Hong Kong residents can in several ways: via the department’s mobile app for e-channel services; at the first gate of the automated channels; at an enrolment office on the fifth-floor departure hall; or at kiosks on the fourth-floor arrival hall and on the fifth floor.
香港成年居民可通过多种方式完成登记：使用入境处提供的电子通道服务手机应用程式；在自动化通道的第一道闸门处办理；前往五楼离境大堂的登记处办理；亦可在四楼入境大堂及五楼的自助登记机上进行操作。
City residents must also ensure they have alreadyed with mainland authorities to use e-channels before they can use the “joint clearance” automated channel.
香港居民还必须事先完成与内地相关部门的登记程序，方能使用“联合通关”自动化通道。他们需经由其他陆路口岸前往内地完成登记，也可在现有皇岗检查站关闭前在此处完成登记手续。
They will need to travel to the mainland via any other land checkpoint to complete registration there first, or they may also at the existing Huanggang checkpoint before it closes. Parents can also children aged from seven to 17 to use the “joint clearance” automated channels via the e-channel app, the enrolment office and kiosks at the checkpoint.
家长也可通过电子通道应用程序、登记处以及口岸处的自助服务机，为7至17岁的子女办理“联合通关”自动通道的使用手续。办理时需携带亲子关系证明及子女的身份证。
They will need to bring proof of parentage and their children’s identity cards to. Mainland residents can complete Hong Kong registration at the enrolment office on the fifth floor or at the gates of the “joint clearance” channels.
内地居民可前往五楼的登记处，或“联合通关”通道入口处完成香港方面的登记手续。
Drivers will use a “joint one-stop” vehicle clearance lane for departure and entry clearance at an “integrated information collection device”.
驾车人士则可通过“联合一站式”车辆通关通道，在“综合信息采集装置”处完成出入境手续。
Those using the vehicle clearance lane for the first time will need to give permission for information collection after placing their identity documents in the device, but no other registration is required in advance.
首次使用该车辆通关通道的司机，只需将身份证件放入信息采集装置后同意信息采集即可，无需事先办理其他登记手续。
A department spokesman said around 100,000 passengers were expected to pass through the revamped Huanggang Port each day in the early stages of operation.
海关部门发言人表示，在新口岸投入运营初期，预计每日约有10万名旅客经皇岗口岸出入境。待2034年港铁北线通车后，该口岸的日通行能力有望提升至30万人次。乘坐跨境车辆的旅客须下车，在邻近的离境大堂完成通关手续。
Its capacity could reach handling 300,000 passengers a day when the northern line of the MTR enters service by 2034. Passengers in cross-boundary vehicles will have to alight to complete clearance at an adjacent departure hall. Chiang Yi-lee, assistant commissioner at the Customs and Excise Department, said clearance time for drivers at the revamped Huanggang Port would be cut to two minutes.

Currently, vehicles crossing the border via the Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang route take around 10 minutes to complete clearance. Drivers first spend around two minutes completing Hong Kong customs procedures, take five minutes to cross the Lok Ma Chau bridge, and then complete mainland clearance at the current Huanggang crossing in another three minutes.
蒋丽莉指出，改造后的口岸可实现司机在两分钟内通过海关自助服务机并完成信息采集。据悉，今年落马洲及皇岗口岸的日均车辆通行量约为8000辆。
At the revamped crossing, drivers could pass through the customs kiosk and complete clearance at the information collection device within two minutes, Chiang said. The average daily throughput this year at the Lok Ma Chau and Huanggang crossing was 8,000 vehicles a day, she said.
“随着新黄冈港的投入使用，我们预计货运量会与以往水平相当，甚至略有增长，”蒋先生说道。
“With the commissioning of the new Huanggang Port, we expect more or less the same or a bit higher,” Chiang said.
