Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Friday with the leader of a Venezuelan opposition delegation, which is in talks with the country’s government over what Rubio called “lasting democratic change.”
该代表团正在与委内瑞拉政府就鲁比奥所称的“持久的民主变革”进行磋商。此次是鲁比奥首次在华盛顿与迪诺拉·菲格埃拉会面。
菲格埃拉是目前流亡在外的、由反对派主导的2015年委内瑞拉国民议会的议长。鲁比奥表示，这些谈判得到了华盛顿方面的“百分之百支持”。
Rubio, meeting for the first time with Dinorah Figuera in Washington, the president of Venezuela’s now-exiled, opposition-led 2015 National Assembly, said the negotiations had “100 percent support” from Washington.
