Three Mexican men were found guilty of killing two Australian brothers and their American friend during a surfing trip in Baja California, Mexico in April 2024.

After a month-long trial in the coastal city of Ensenada, Judge Raúl Hernández ruled Friday that Jesús Gerardo García, alias “El Kekas,” Irineo Francisco “N”, and Ángel Jesús “N” murdered Australians Callum and Jake Robinson and American Carter Redd Rhoad. The three men were also found guilty of armed robbery and armed carjacking.

Silva Raya testified that García approached the trio’s tent armed with a 9mm pistol and that the tourists threw their belongings at him in an attempt to fend off the attack. One of the tourists pleaded for his life, she testified.

Prosecutors believe García shot the men when they resisted and later concealed their bodies in a well.
