改造后的黄岗口岸是粤港澳大湾区连通性的“关键里程碑”，香港特区行政官李家超如是说，随着香港和深圳倒计时迎接其于周一启动。
The revamped Huanggang checkpoint is a “critical milestone” for the connectivity of the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong’s leader has said, as the city and Shenzhen count down to its launch on Monday.
李家超在周日的仪式上表示，黄岗管制站是一项“标志性工程”，由香港和深圳共同建设并共享。
Speaking at a ceremony on Sunday, Chief Executive John Lee-Ka Chiu said the Huanggang control point was a “landmark project” built and shared through the joint efforts of Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
“香港上月发布了首个五年计划，主动对接国家第十五个五年规划，使城市能够更好融入国家整体发展。该计划提出便利跨境人员流动并提升通关效率，”他说。
“Hong Kong unveiled its first five-year plan last month to proactively align with the national 15th five-year plan, allowing the city to better integrate into the overall development of the country. The plan proposed to facilitate cross-border passenger flows and elevate customs clearance efficiency,” he said.
“黄岗口岸的改造是香港落实国家发展战略、深度参与粤港澳大湾区建设的具体行动。”新建筑将于周一早上6点30分开始运营。现有的落马洲管制站将同时退役，结束近40年的服务。
“The revamped Huanggang checkpoint represents an explicit action for Hong Kong to align with the national development strategy and deeply engage in the construction of the Greater Bay Area.”The new building will start operations at 6.30am on Monday. The existing Lok Ma Chau control point will be retired at the same time, ending nearly 40 years of service.
“自1989年投入运营以来……它已服务数亿旅客，见证跨境交通的增长，并承载了几代市民的集体记忆，”李家超说。
“Since it started operations in 1989 … it has served hundreds of millions of travellers and witnessed increased cross-border traffic and embodied collective memories of several generations of citizens,” Lee said.
他称黄岗港为最重要的24小时陆路边境客运口岸，设计日客运量为20万人次。随着港铁北连线项目的完工，该数字将增加至约30万人次。
He called the Huanggang Port the most important 24-hour land boundary passenger checkpoint, with a designed daily capacity of 200,000 passenger trips. That figure will be increased to about 300,000 passenger trips upon the completion of the MTR’s Northern Link project.
“随着香港与深圳交通联系的加强，两城之间的人流、物流、资金流和信息流将更加高效，进一步推动粤港澳大湾区的深度融合，”他补充道。
“With the stronger transport connection between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, the flow of people, goods, capital and information between the two cities will be more efficient, further driving the deep integration of the Greater Bay Area,” he added.
其他香港官员，包括政务司司长陈国基、财政司司长陈茂波、保安局局长唐佩康以及运输及物流局局长陈美宝也出席了仪式，广东省省级和深圳市市级高级官员也到场参加。
Other Hong Kong officials, including Chief Secretary Eric Chan Kwok-ki, Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po, Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung and Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan also attended the ceremony, along with senior Guangdong provincial and Shenzhen municipal officials.

Finance chief Chan wrote in his weekly blog on Sunday that the new infrastructure, the world’s largest single-building control point on land, would bring Hong Kong closer to the mainland.

“It will be very convenient for business travellers, visitors and residents who frequently travel between Hong Kong and Shenzhen,” he said.
通过“联合查验、一次放行”模式，新黄岗港口将大幅缩短通关时间，从大约30分钟缩短至约5分钟。
Through the “collaborative inspection and joint clearance” model, the new Huanggang Port will significantly cut clearance time from around 30 minutes to about five minutes.
该模式将使乘客只需出示一份身份证件，通过设有三道闸门的自动通道，即可完成出境和入境的全部检验检疫手续。
The model will enable passengers to complete both departure and entry clearance procedures by presenting one identity document and passing through an automated channel with three gates.

Paul Chan added that, together with the Apec finance ministers’ meeting to be held in Hong Kong later this month, these developments showed how the city was strengthening regional economic ties through infrastructure and major events.
深圳现有口岸日均客流量为4万人，峰值达6.5万人，日均车辆通过量为9000辆，峰值可达1.2万辆。
The existing checkpoint in Shenzhen handled an average of 40,000 travellers a day and a peak flow of 65,000 people, with a daily average throughput of 9,000 vehicles that went up to a peak of 12,000.
改造后的口岸日均客流量将达20万人，车辆通过量达1.5万辆。
The revamped checkpoint’s capacity is 200,000 travellers and 15,000 vehicles a day.
香港中华厂商联合会会长罗锦荣表示，黄岗港口的开通是粤港澳大湾区和北部都会区发展的关键一步。
Wingco Lo Kam-wing, president of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, described the opening of Huanggang Port as a crucial step for the development of the Greater Bay Area and the Northern Metropolis.
“[该港口]将显著促进大湾区内工业创新的跨境合作，推动人才自由流动。它还将为北部都会区及其他地区带来大量人流和经济活力，”他说。
“[The port] will significantly facilitate cross-border collaboration in industrial innovation within the Greater Bay Area and promote the free flow of talent. It will also inject substantial foot traffic and economic vitality into the Northern Metropolis and across other districts,” he said.
罗先生补充表示，高效便捷的跨境通关安排对于促进香港与内地在创新领域的合作至关重要，他呼吁政府持续改善其他跨境基础设施和机构的连通性。
Lo added that efficient and convenient cross-border clearance arrangements would be essential to fostering collaboration in the innovation sector between Hong Kong and the mainland, calling on the government to keep on improving connectivity across other cross-border infrastructure and institutions.
