Top Pakistani and Brazilian military officials on Monday discussed regional security and avenues to enhance defense and security cooperation between the two countries, an official statement said.
巴西武装部队参谋长联席会议主席雷纳托·罗德里格斯·德·阿吉亚尔·弗雷雷上将率领的代表团访问巴基斯坦期间，在东北部驻军城市拉瓦尔品第的陆军总部与巴基斯坦陆军参谋长阿西姆·穆尼尔元帅会面，讨论了相关议题，巴基斯坦军方在一份声明中称。
A visiting Brazilian delegation led by Adm. Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire, chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Brazil's armed forces, met with Pakistan's army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, at the army headquarters in the northeastern garrison city of Rawalpindi to discuss the issues, the military said in a statement.

"During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional security environment and avenues for enhancing bilateral defense and security cooperation," the statement added.
双方对巴基斯坦与巴西之间“长期友好”的关系表示“满意”，并同意进一步加强军队之间的合作。穆尼尔强调巴基斯坦致力于加强与巴西的防务关系。
Expressing "satisfaction" with the "longstanding cordial" relations between Pakistan and Brazil, the two sides agreed to further strengthen military-to-military collaboration. Munir emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defense ties with Brazil.
弗雷雷则赞赏巴基斯坦武装部队的专业性和作战准备情况，并承认其对地区和平与稳定所作出的贡献。
Freire, in turn, appreciated the professionalism and operational preparedness of Pakistan's armed forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace and stability.

"The visit reflects the shared resolve of Pakistan and Brazil to deepen defense cooperation and strengthen bilateral military ties," the statement concluded.
