Sachs Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer David Solomon brushed away what he called recent “noise” about a potential leadership transition.

The bank’s chief operating officer, John Waldron, has long been seen as the likely successor to Solomon. The timing for a possible transition has come back into the spotlight in recent weeks after reports that Solomon could step down as early as next year.
所罗门在周二与分析师举行的财报电话会议上明确表示：“我想强调一点，目前高盛内部并未制定任何接班人交接计划或时间表。董事会和我本人正全力专注于公司发展战略，致力于持续为客户提供优质服务。”他还表示，对公司目前的进展感到满意，这也让他乐在其中。
“So, you know, I just want to be clear, there is no succession transition or timeline underway at Goldman Sachs,” Solomon said Tuesday on an earnings call with analysts. “The board and I are singularly focused on our strategy to grow the firm and continue to serve our clients with excellence.”He added that he’s been pleased with the firm’s progress, which is making him enjoy the job.
