Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh said his task force on productivity and jobs will hold a field hearing in the San Francisco Bay Area next month.

Warsh announced the hearing, to take place Nov. 16, in a moderated discussion Friday morning in Bangkok at the International Monetary Fund’s annual meetings.

The task force will “wrestle” with issues including the economic impact of artificial intelligence, Warsh said. The Fed chief in June established five task forces of outside experts that will study key areas of monetary policy making. He has said he expects them to deliver their recommendations to the Fed around the end of this year. Warsh did not comment on monetary policy or his outlook for the US economy.
