Lawyer Atsumi Harasawa won her first term as Yokohama mayor, defeating six rivals, including scandal-hit former Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka, in Sunday’s election.
神奈川县首府横滨的市长选举于山中竹春因职场骚扰丑闻于九月辞职后举行。投票率为45.56%，较上次选举的41.64%有所上升。
The mayoral election in the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture was held after Yamanaka’s resignation in September over a workplace harassment scandal. Voter turnout came to 45.56%, up from 41.64% in the previous election.
“我将以市民视角为先，让横滨成为更好的城市，”浅泽晓在竞选办公室对支持者表示。
“I will put citizens’ perspectives first and make Yokohama a better city,” Harasawa told supporters at her campaign office.
浅泽晓，59岁，获得神奈川县自由民主党、日本创新党和国民民主党地方分部的支持，以及公明党市议会议员的支持。
Harasawa, 59, was supported by the Kanagawa prefectural chapters of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Japan Innovation Party and the Democratic Party for the People, as well as Komeito’s city assembly members.
在选举期间，她呼吁重建城市行政管理，承诺提升防灾准备、夯实城市财政基础，并结合其律师经验。
During the election campaign, she called for rebuilding the city’s administration, pledging to improve disaster preparedness and strengthen the city’s financial base while drawing on her experience as a lawyer.
山中竹春，54岁，就其卷入职场骚扰丑闻道歉，同时强调其任职期间的政绩。
Yamanaka, 54, apologized for his involvement in the power harassment scandal, while highlighting his achievements during his term in office.
山中竹春于2021年8月首次当选横滨市长，获日本立宪民主党支持。他在2025年连任，获得自民党、公明党和立宪民主党地方组织的支持。今年7月，第三方调查确认山中竹春存在职场骚扰行为，促使其辞职。
Yamanaka was first elected mayor in August 2021, backed by the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan. He won reelection in 2025 with support from the LDP, Komeito and CDP local organizations. In July this year, a third-party investigation confirmed cases of power harassment by Yamanaka, prompting him to resign.
