Kenya has confirmed one more Ebola case, bringing the total number of infections in the country to eight, Director-General for Health Patrick Amoth said on Sunday."

据悉，这名患者为49岁男性，并非医护人员，出现了发热、头痛及肌肉疼痛等症状。

据称，该男子是此前确诊的首例埃博拉病例患者的护理人员，负责清理餐具与床单，很可能是在照料这名10月5日在内罗毕一家医院去世的刚果民主共和国籍患者时受到感染。

Amoth said the new case was a patient attendant who cleaned utensils and linens, and he was probably exposed to Kenya's first Ebola case, discovered earlier this month, in a man who traveled from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Nairobi and died at a Nairobi hospital on October 5. The latest case developed symptoms on Saturday, was isolated in quarantine, and was tested for the virus; the result returned positive on Sunday, a health ministry source said.
