The Italian energy major on Monday signed contracts for subsea infrastructure and pipelines that will extract, treat and send gas to Egypt for liquefaction from its offshore Cyprus gas project. It will then be loaded onto ships and sent primarily to Europe, with production slated to begin in 2028.
