Street Corp. invested in the newly created Texas Stock Exchange, helping to boost the exchange’s total equity capital to $440 million.

State Street is joining investors including BlackRock Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co., which had previously bet on the exchange, known as TXSE.

“Today, we’re announcing that State Street has joined the Texas Stock Exchange with a significant equity investment,” TXSE Chief Executive Officer James Lee said at the Bloomberg Invest conference in Dallas. “We’re very proud to have them in our ownership structure and as a partner here.”A State Street spokesperson declined to comment.

The new exchange, which is based in Dallas, has notched major listings including Dillard’s Inc., which said in September that it would shift its primary securities listing to TXSE from the New York Stock Exchange. Charles Schwab Corp. recently launched a dual listing of its common shares on both on the Texas Stock Exchange as well as in New York.
