Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. is planning to move its primary listing to the Texas Stock Exchange, marking another win for the upstart trading venue against its larger rivals.

The shares will begin trading on the TXSE on Nov. 12, the Frost Bank operator said in a statement Thursday. Cullen/Frost, which is based in San Antonio and currently trades on the New York Stock Exchange, has a market capitalization of about $9.8 billion.

Rival banks have also joined the Texas Stock Exchange, also known as TXSE. In September, Texas Capital Bancshares Inc. said it would switch its primary listing to TXSE. Earlier this month, Westlake, Texas-based Charles Schwab Corp. said it would dual list its shares on the TXSE, while keeping its primary listing on the Intercontinental Exchange Inc.’s NYSE.
