国际货币基金组织（IMF）周三宣布，中国财政部副部长廖岷已被任命为该组织下一任副总裁。
China’s vice-minister of finance, Liao Min, has been appointed as the next deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), according to an announcement by the organisation on Wednesday.
廖岷将接替中国人民银行前副行长李波，后者的任期将于11月底届满。目前尚不清楚廖岷在赴华盛顿就任前是否会卸任中国政府职务。
Liao will take over from Li Bo, a former deputy governor of the People’s Bank of China, whose term expires at the end of November. It remains unclear whether Liao will leave his position in the Chinese government before taking on the role in Washington.
廖岷自2018年起担任中国财政部副部长。自美国总统唐纳德·特朗普去年发动全球贸易战以来，他在中美多轮贸易谈判中发挥了深入作用。
China’s vice-minister of finance since 2018, Liao has played a deep role in various rounds of trade talks between Beijing and Washington since US President Donald Trump launched his global trade war last year.
IMF总裁克里斯塔利娜·格奥尔基耶娃在一份声明中表示：“廖岷是一位备受尊敬的政策制定者，在银行业、金融监管和宏观经济治理领域拥有30多年经验。”
“Min is a highly respected policymaker with more than three decades of experience in banking, financial regulation and macroeconomic governance,” said IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in a statement.
“他深度参与了全球宏观政策协调以及双边和多边财政、金融与贸易合作。他在国内改革与国际经济合作交汇处的经验，将是基金组织及其成员国的巨大财富。”声明称，格奥尔基耶娃还对李波表示感谢，李波在担任IMF副总裁期间领导了该组织在风险管理、数字货币与稳定币监管、债务重组、治理以及人工智能方面的工作。
“He has been deeply engaged in global macro-policy coordination and in bilateral and multilateral fiscal, financial and trade cooperation. His experience at the intersection of domestic reform and international economic cooperation will be a tremendous asset to the fund and our membership.”Georgieva also expressed her gratitude to Li, whose tenure as IMF deputy managing director saw him lead the group’s efforts on risk management, digital money and stablecoin regulation, debt restructuring, governance as well as artificial intelligence, according to the statement.
