Artificial intelligence has thoroughly infiltrated business and politics, but it’s also starting to divide companies and investors. That was the takeaway from leaders at The Information’s WTF Summit, a gathering of senior women in the technology and finance industries this week.

Investors are increasingly picking AI winners and losers, and favoring companies that can train models and control the chips and data centers that undergird them, said Goldman Sachs’ global co-head of investment banking Kim Posnett. “What you’re seeing is not a change in AI sentiment,” she said, but “you’re seeing a repositioning and differentiation across the AI trade.”
