“From our inception we built the company to defend the West. We believe in the West,” Mosley said in an interview on stage at the Bloomberg Tech event in London. “We believe in liberal democracy, the rule of law, the values that make up the West.”European governments are more broadly moving away from US technology companies as deteriorating relations with Donald Trump’s administration pushed them to be less reliant on American infrastructure. France’s security services replaced Palantir tools with alternatives by local firm ChapsVision. The company also risks losing a £330 million ($443 million) contract with the UK’s national health service.

For some of the countries, the company is emblematic of Trump’s muscular pro-America rhetoric and US technological dominance at the expense of their sovereignty.
