Asked about her comments on Wednesday, the Prime Minister pointed out the briefness of Ms Truss’ leadership. “Liz Truss isn’t the prime minister and wasn’t the prime minister for a very long period of time,” Mr Albanese said. “Andy Burnham is the prime minister, and he was very … constructive about it.”He said that they had “tasked our officials to do further work”. “There are options that we discussed. We’ll discuss it diplomatically. That’s how you get things done,” Mr Albanese said, adding that it was a “positive” meeting.
