At 11 pm local time, the latest projections gave the PQ 59 seats in the Assemblée Nationale du Québec – with an absolute majority set at 64 – ahead of the centrist Parti Libéral du Québec (PLQ) with 40 seats, the right-wing Parti Conservateur du Québec (PCQ) with 19 and the left-wing Québec Solidaire (QS) with nine. The centrist-right Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ), in power since 2018, was swept aside and held on to no seats.

After increasing his party's representation from three MPs after the 2022 election to nearly 60 on Monday, October 5, incoming prime minister Paul St-Pierre Plamondon delivered a speech focused on the future of a sovereign Québec.
