State institutions are coordinating efforts to verify dismantling of terrorist group in all its components, says Gurlek Türkiye's justice minister said Tuesday that authorities have detained 85 suspects and taken action against 207 people as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged manipulation involving investment funds and stocks, stressing that the probe should not undermine confidence in the country's financial markets. Speaking to Anadolu's Editors' Desk in the capital Ankara, Akin Gurlek said the investigation was launched following complaints and tips from the public, as well as an authorization granted by the Capital Markets Board (SPK) to launch the probe.

Gurlek said that during his tenure as Istanbul chief public prosecutor, in February 2025 authorities noticed unusual activity in some funds and stocks and sent an official notice.
据古尔莱克介绍，2025年2月，他在担任伊斯坦布尔首席检察官期间，当局便注意到部分基金与股票出现异常交易活动，并随即发出了正式通知。今年8月，又陆续收到公众投诉，资本市场委员会遂批准展开正式调查。
He said complaints from the public were received this August, after which the SPK gave its permission for a formal investigation. He said authorities must distinguish between legitimate and illicit gains, pointing to profits allegedly made through the rapid buying and selling of so-called "bubble stocks." "We noticed this ourselves, and our colleagues wrote to the SPK to request authorization for an investigation.

Gurlek said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been following the process from the beginning and that authorities give him regular updates. He added that he had held frequent meetings with Mehmet Simsek, the Treasury and finance minister, and that a Fund Coordination Board had been established under Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz.

'No turning back’ from 'Terror-Free Türkiye' process Gurlek also described the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process as a major priority, saying there would be no reversal.
