Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Turkmenistan on Friday to discuss bilateral ties on the sidelines of a Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and a Caspian Sea environmental summit.

The two stressed the importance of intensive high-level contacts, saying they contribute to the steady development and expansion of bilateral relations, according to the Armenian prime minister’s office.
帕希尼扬还介绍了埃里温与德黑兰之间的合作计划，指出多家伊朗企业正参与亚美尼亚境内的战略项目建设。
Pashinyan highlighted the agenda for cooperation between Yerevan and Tehran, noting that Iranian companies are involved in implementing strategic projects in Armenia.
双方均表示有信心在不久的将来使两国关系迈上新台阶，并重视即将开展的高层互访。此外，双方还就其他共同关心的议题交换了意见。
Both sides expressed confidence that relations would reach a new level in the near future and underscored the importance of upcoming reciprocal high-level visits. They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
预计此次独联体领导人峰会将通过多项协议，旨在加强执法、文化人文及信息交流领域的合作，并增进外交政策协调。
The CIS leaders’ summit is expected to adopt agreements aimed at expanding cooperation in law enforcement, cultural and humanitarian affairs, and information sharing, as well as strengthening foreign policy coordination.
与此同时，在里海环境峰会上，俄罗斯、阿塞拜疆、伊朗、哈萨克斯坦和土库曼斯坦的领导人将共同探讨遏制里海水域萎缩及保护其生物资源的措施。
Meanwhile, at the Caspian Sea environmental summit, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are expected to discuss measures to prevent the sea’s shrinking and preserve its biological resources.
