Diplomatic efforts to end the Iran conflict, which has lasted more than seven months since US-Israeli strikes on Iran in February, have remained stalled since the summer. Putin met Iranian Pezeshkian on the sidelines of a summit in Turkmenistan earlier this week, where the Russian leader expressed interest in helping broker peace.
