Russia has supplied European Union countries with $320.7 billion worth of energy resources since 2022, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said Monday.

Speaking in an interview with Russian state broadcaster Vesti, Novak said the total exceeded the $250 billion figure previously cited by the US.

Russia supplied Europe with $21.3 billion worth of energy resources in the first nine months of 2026, according to Energy Ministry data cited by Novak.

He said shipments continued despite sanctions, with deliveries maintained in areas covered by exemptions.

Russia continues to fulfill its contractual obligations, Novak said, adding that the composition of its exports to the EU had changed substantially in recent years but that supplies requested by European customers were continuing.

Novak also said Russian and US companies had begun negotiations on diesel deliveries, alongside talks between the Russian Energy Ministry and the US Department of Energy.

Additional Russian shipments would help balance global supply and demand, according to Novak. He attributed much of the increase in oil prices to higher transportation costs and a shortage of vessels.
