A Russian industrial facility in the Surgut district, which is home to several oil and gas assets, was hit in a drone attack.

The strikes caused a fire at the facility in the Surgut district of the Khanty-Mansi autonomous region, which is more than 2,130 kilometers (1,324 miles) northeast of Moscow, according to regional governor Ruslan Kukharuk. “Emergency services are on site,” he said on the Max social network, without providing facility’s name. “Specialists are assessing the scale and nature of the damage caused.”Bloomberg could not independently verify the attack. Ukraine hasn’t made any public statement about the strike.

The attack on the Surgut district in western Siberia comes after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered strikes on Russian oil refineries to resume in a spiraling confrontation with Donald Trump over restrictions on US intelligence assistance. Zelenskyy said in an interview with the Financial Times published Thursday that he’s ending a three-day pause on strikes in response to the US president’s call on Sunday for an “energy ceasefire.”Moscow has continued attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure and civilian targets over the last few days, leading to a mounting death toll.

The Surgut district is home Russian oil and gas infrastructure assets from fields to trunk pipelines and a condensate-processing facility.

Russia’s gas giant Gazprom PJSC, which owns the processing plant in the region, state-run oil pipeline operator Transneft PJSC and oil producer Surgutneftegas PJSC, which operates some regional oil fields, did not immediately respond to Bloomberg requests for comments.
