French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Kuwait on Monday for talks with officials in the Gulf nation, the Kuwaiti state news agency KUNA reported Sunday.

Macron, accompanied by an official delegation, will hold official talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during his trip, according to the agency. The visit comes as Kuwait and France mark the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
