Vice President Vance claimed Saturday that in “some ways” the United States has “decisively won” its war against Iran.

“I would say in some ways, we have won decisively, but they're — the Iranians, the enemy gets a vote here, and they have responded in certain ways. And so, to step back a little bit, why did the president of the United States do this?”Vance told CBS News’s Tony Dokoupil in a town hall.

Vance’s comments come only a few weeks out from the midterms, in which he and his party are facing rough political territory with issues including the unpopular war in Iran.
