Germany on Monday “criticized” attacks by violent Israeli occupiers targeting European diplomats and a US news photographer in the occupied West Bank, calling for an investigation.
“原则上，我们当然必须说，对外交官的袭击——这也适用于记者——当然应该受到批评。这些来自周末的报道令人担忧，”外交部发言人卡特琳·德肖尔在柏林的媒体吹风会上表示。
“I think, as a matter of principle, we must of course say that attacks on diplomats – and this also applies to a journalist – should, of course, be criticized. These are troubling reports from the weekend,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Kathrin Deschauer said at a media briefing in Berlin.
“我们支持（欧洲）的诉求，即必须进行调查，”她补充道，并表达了对在袭击中被针对的欧洲外交官的“团结”。
“We join in the (European) demands that there must be an investigation,” she added, expressing “solidarity” with European diplomats targeted in the attacks.

The incident occurred over the weekend near the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, where an EU delegation was visiting during the olive harvest season. The delegation included the French and Belgian consuls, a Polish representative and Catholic Church officials.
