Court papers filed by the BBC in Florida on Monday make it clear that the corporation does not think Mr Trump’s reasons for missing the meeting meet that description.

Plaintiff subsequently travelled to his resort club and residence at Mar-a-Lago for a Republican National Committee fundraising event.
