Epicentr, a major Ukrainian home improvement retailer, said its business had been “destroyed” by a rapid-fire succession of Russian airstrikes on its distribution centers, with the latest ones coming over the weekend.

Russia’s defense ministry said earlier on Telegram that the nation’s armed forces hit two logistics center, including one belonging to Epicentr, and a distribution facility in Kharkiv, where it said dual‑use products intended to supply the Ukrainian army had been stored.

“The Russians first struck a home improvement hypermarket and then carried out a cynical double-tap strike on the emergency services that arrived at the scene,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a post on X. “First responders were injured.”The infrastructure of Epicentr, which includes 53 shopping malls and 197 order pickup centers across Ukraine, has been a target for Russian attacks in recent months as Kremlin’s full-scale invasion of its neighbor is well into fifth year.

That would also push the process beyond the US midterm elections on Nov. 3.

Ukraine on Sunday kept up its program of airstrikes deep within Russian territory. Dmitry Makhonin, governor of Perm region in Russia’s Urals, some 1,850 kilometers (1,150 miles) northeast of Kyiv, said a drone attack wounded five employees at an industrial enterprise in the region’s north. The unspecified facility, while slightly damaged, continues to operate normally, he said.

Overnight, a Ukrainian drone swarm was directed at the Russian border region of Belgorod. Two people were killed in the city of Belgorod, said regional governor Alexander Shuvaev. Thirty apartment buildings, three administrative building and eight commercial facilities were damaged, he added.
