Pentagon releases files describing federal agents’ account of a black triangular object USA TODAY reported on October 26, 2026, that the Pentagon released a new batch of UFO-related files on October 23, at President Donald Trump’s direction.
The files describe two federal agents’ account of a black triangular object seen for two days in June 2026 over an undisclosed sensitive national security site in the western United States.
According to the account, the object had an approximately 15-foot wingspan, rose about 300 feet, hovered for roughly 20 seconds, and descended silently into a canyon.
The release includes nine images, including an artistic rendering placed over a canyon photograph, rather than confirmed photographs of the object. The Pentagon documents leave the location and other details redacted, and the incident remains unexplained.
