U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz keeps making the right enemies. On Tuesday he was back on the General Assembly podium seeking to expose the private wealth and corruption of Cuba’s Communist officials. This so riled the Cuban foreign minister and his subordinates that they marched all the way to the stage to shout and harangue. But the stunt backfired.

“Mr. President, this individual needs to back away from this podium,” the U.S. Ambassador said. “He’s not going to intimidate me, in the United States of America, like he tries to intimidate political prisoners.”
