But after Vanity Fair reported that Kushner secretly received billions of dollars from those governments, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee is demanding answers — and staking out a congressional jurisdiction over the Middle East peace envoy.

Raskin noted that his previous inquiries have gone unanswered.

The article centers around the claim that Kushner had access to roughly $2 billion in secret funds connected to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates while serving as a senior adviser to Trump.

In that role, Kushner has been involved in negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Hamas and the U.S. and Iran.

Sovereign wealth funds tied to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have also invested.
