香港电台援引财政司司长陈茂波表示，香港经济增长在第三季度保持强劲，为可能成为五年来最强劲的年度扩张铺平了道路。
Kong’s economic growth remained robust in the third quarter, paving the way for what may be the strongest annual expansion in five years, Radio Television Hong Kong cited Financial Secretary Paul Chan as saying.
陈茂波在一个电台节目上表示，出口推动了上半年5.1%的增长，而投资激增延续到了第三季度。他称，尽管官方统计数据尚未公布，但该时期势头依然强劲。
Exports drove the 5.1% growth in the first half, while investment surges continued into the third quarter, Chan said on a radio program. Though official statistics have yet to be released, momentum remained strong in the period, he said.
陈茂波表示，官方全年增长预估可能会上调，政府经济学家将在稍后阶段提供细节。
Chan said the official full-year growth estimate may be revised upwards and government economists would provide details at a later stage.
财政司司长警告称，由于地缘政治紧张局势和中东冲突推高油价并增加通胀压力，预计明年利率将维持在高位，并可能影响楼市和整体经济。陈茂波称，政府将密切监控金融风险。
The financial secretary warned that interest rates are expected to remain elevated next year as geopolitical tensions and the Middle East conflict lift oil prices and add to inflationary pressure, and may affect property markets and the overall economy. The government will closely monitor financial risks, Chan said.
