SINGAPORE: Parliament will on Wednesday (Nov 4) debate proposed amendments to the Transboundary Haze Pollution Act (THPA).
可持续发展与环境部长傅海燕早前表示，新加坡正寻求加强现有烟霾相关立法，包括《跨境烟霾污染法》，以解决执法漏洞、强化企业问责，并提升新加坡调查并对造成跨境烟霾的责任人采取果断行动的能力。为此，她将在国会提交《跨境烟霾污染（修正）法案》。
Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu previously said that Singapore was looking to strengthen existing haze-related legislation, including the THPA, to address enforcement gaps, strengthen corporate accountability and enhance Singapore's ability to investigate and take decisive action against those responsible for transboundary haze. To that end, she will introduce the Transboundary Haze Pollution (Amendment) Bill in parliament shortly.
