Sudanese authorities accused the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Saturday of launching drone strikes on the governor’s house in Blue Nile state and several civilian sites in the state capital, Damazin.
州长艾哈迈德·奥姆达·巴迪在声明中称，这些无人机袭击被防空系统拦截，但未透露此次袭击造成的伤亡或损失情况。
In a statement, Governor Ahmed al-Omda Badi said the drone strikes were intercepted by air defenses, without giving details about any casualties or damage from the attack.

The attack “will not deter us from continuing our struggle and defending the homeland, and working to cleanse every inch of Sudanese territory of rebellion and aggression," Badi said. The RSF did not immediately comment on the statement.

Sudanese authorities and human rights organizations have repeatedly accused the RSF of targeting civilian facilities, an accusation denied by the group.

Blue Nile state in southeastern Sudan has seen an escalation in attacks by the RSF and its ally, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), in recent weeks.

Sudan has been gripped by war between the army and the RSF since April 2023, stemming from disagreements over integrating the RSF into the armed forces. The conflict has killed tens of thousands of people and displaced around 13 million, according to UN and international estimates.
