The Kremlin said Thursday that Russia believes a comprehensive settlement in Ukraine is necessary.

Speaking to journalists at a press briefing, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow has repeatedly stated that “piecemeal solutions and agreements” to the ongoing war would prevent a comprehensive settlement from being reached.
佩斯科夫指出：“这是一个极其复杂的问题，解决方案必须具备全面性。”他还强调，单纯“冻结”冲突也无济于事。
“It is a highly complex matter, and the settlement must be comprehensive,” Peskov said, noting that a “freeze” of the conflict would not help either.
这位发言人还表示：“我们需要为子孙后代制定一个有保障且不会出现反复的解决方案。”他补充说，俄罗斯总统弗拉基米尔·普京也曾在瓦尔代讨论俱乐部等场合提及这一点。
“We need a solution for future generations — one that is guaranteed and safeguarded against setbacks,” the spokesman said, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin had spoken about this, including at the Valdai Discussion Club.
此外，佩斯科夫还表达了对印度的感谢，称其对推动乌克兰问题解决表现出浓厚兴趣。
He went on to express Russia’s gratitude to India for showing interest in efforts toward a settlement in Ukraine.

“We welcome any attempts or efforts by states that might in any way contribute to a settlement regarding Ukraine — or help nudge the Kyiv regime and, above all, the Europeans — toward a peaceful phase,” he added.

The Kremlin spokesman also commented on Putin’s birthday Wednesday, saying the Russian president did not receive a congratulatory telegram from US President Donald Trump.

Noting that the exact time of a telephone conversation between Putin and Trump has yet to be agreed upon, Peskov said there was no delay in coordinating such a call.

Commenting on Iran’s potential withdrawal from the Non-Proliferation Treaty, Peskov said the issue could be raised at a meeting between Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the upcoming Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) leaders’ summit in Turkmenistan on Friday.
