An Israeli air strike on an apartment block in Gaza has killed a woman and wounded two other people, hospital officials said.

Reem Asaad Awad, 33, was killed in the attack early on Wednesday in the Al-Rimal neighbourhood of Gaza City, the Turkish state news agency Anadolu reported, quoting a source at Al Shifa hospital. The source said the strike caused extensive destruction to the targeted apartment and nearby buildings. The daughter of the woman who was killed was rescued from a large fire that broke out after the attack.
