A fire broke out Wednesday morning near the Austerlitz train station, in central Paris, just two days after flames destroyed a historic food market in the chic Marais neighborhood.
火灾起于当地时间上午9点30分左右的一个建筑工地，开发商布吉集团在一份声明中表示，消防员正在努力确保该区域安全。目前无人员受伤，火灾原因仍在调查中。
The fire started at a construction site around 9:30 a.m. local time, and firefighters are working to secure the area, developer Bouygues said in a statement. No one was injured, and the cause is still unknown.

The building is set to be part of the new headquarters of EssilorLuxottica SA, a spokesperson for the world’s biggest eyewear maker said, confirming an earlier report by Le Parisien newspaper. Employees are expected to move to the site in 2028 once renovations are completed.

The incident comes after the Enfants Rouges covered market, in the Marais, was completely ravaged by fire in the early hours of Monday morning. Paris Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire said the authorities have yet to determine how the fire started, and he pledged to find temporary spaces for vendors to continue operating.
