Sen. Elissa Slotkin

Elissa Slotkin was elected to the Senate in 2024 as a supposed “moderate.”But of course we know that, apart from Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, that species of Democratic politician doesn’t exist in Congress anymore.

Sure enough, it didn’t take long for Slotkin, a former CIA analyst who served under John Brennan, to show her true colors.

The Michigan senator told students at the University of Chicago last week how she plans to use the power that will come to Democrats if they win Senate control in the midterms next month.

She wants to unleash a barrage of political investigations on Trump officials in order to frighten young people away from taking jobs in the administration.

“The people around Donald Trump . . . have no immunity the way the president does . . . So you go after the people who do his bidding,” she told the audience during a live podcast recording Tuesday. ‘Signature cases’“I want to look at these signature cases and not just focus on the president, but on the people who enabled him,” she continued.

“I want young people coming out of school to say, ‘Should I go work for the Trump administration? Like that sounds fun. I might get an opportunity.’“I want them to be like, ‘Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want, and so let me avoid participating in that.’“I want that deterrence message.”

Slotkin pretends she is a stickler for “defending democracy.”But this is how the Bolshevik left who control today’s Democratic Party play the game, even as they cloak themselves in conservative disguises, as intelligence professionals, soldiers, astronauts or doctors.

Slotkin, who fancies herself as a future president, used that same term “signature cases” in a chilling speech to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in September when she named Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro and then-Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem as the Trump officials she would target for political prosecutions that would see them jailed for 20 years.

She likened her planned revenge campaign against Trump officials to Poland’s “Iron Broom” cleanup, in which Democrats would create “a list of signature cases that go after some of the most obvious and harmful abuses of taxpayer dollars.”“We need to hold accountable the people and institutions who stole billions of our taxpayer dollars and weaponized the government against its people,” she said.

“In Poland, they called this plan the Iron Broom — cleaning the place up.”Slotkin’s threats are especially disturbing when you consider the body count of administration officials and Trump allies from the president’s first term who were attacked by Joe Biden’s weaponized Justice Department. It’s one aspect of the psychological warfare she learned in her former intelligence career.

Last year, Slotkin and five other “national security” Democrats launched a sly propaganda video implying that Trump was giving “illegal orders” to the military.

They pretended the video was a public service to inform military members that they were not obliged to follow the orders of the commander in chief.

Senate in play Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth accused them of sedition, and Slotkin later admitted in an interview that Trump had never issued any illegal orders and therefore their video was a psyop. But they got away with sowing doubt among the troops.

In May, Slotkin traveled to Canada to meet the nation’s prime minister, Mark Carney, and stir up trouble at a summit organized by the left-wing Center for American Progress where liberal politicians from around the globe discussed “how to battle right-wing politicians on affordability.”In other words, how to defeat Trump.

In another case of lefties sticking together, Carney since has been accused of interfering with our midterm elections by kiboshing US-Canada trade negotiations in August and placing additional economic pressure on the border Senate battleground states of Maine and Michigan — Slotkin’s home base.

Slotkin and her fellow CIA wolf-in-sheep’s clothing, Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger, are especially dangerous because they present as non-threatening soccer mom types when they really are hardcore ideologues who have learned the dark art of manipulating democracies around the world to suit their purposes.

Therefore, Slotkin speaks in the language of calm, reasonable moderation while governing like a revolutionary.

The Senate is stuck with her until 2030, but the last thing conservatives should do is sign their own death warrants by bolstering her numbers, sitting on their hands on Nov. 3 or even voting for the other side out of resentment over Trump not delivering everything he promised in two years.

After all, despite the gloomy polls and wall-to-wall negative media coverage, the Senate is salvageable for Republicans, even if the House follows historical precedent and falls to the Democrats.

As Harry Enten, CNN’s chief data analyst, pointed out last week, polls are within an average margin of error of 3.7 percentage points, so the Senate at this point is too close to call.

“If Republican candidates outperform the [poll] averages by 3.75 points, Republicans would get 52 seats, Democrats would get 48,” he said. Republicans also have buffers in the Senate, even if they lose three seats.

France a warning JD Vance, as vice president, is the president of the Senate and can cast the deciding vote in any 50-50 deadlock.

There’s another potential buffer in the form of the aforementioned Sen. Fetterman. As Julian Epstein, former chief counsel for the House Judiciary Democrats, wrote recently in these pages, Fetterman has teased the possibility of flipping parties if he ends up holding the balance of power.

“I don’t have a reason” to jump ship to the Republicans, Fetterman told CBS three weeks ago. But if he becomes the Senate’s 51st Democrat and the deciding vote, he suggested he might rethink his position.

“If I’m 51,” he said, “then I don’t know. Let’s revisit after the midterms.”Fetterman understands, as all decent Democrat voters do, that the malign Bolshevik force that has overtaken their party must be defeated before it can be trusted with power again.

Slotkin and her fellow Jewish Democrats who embrace the new Islamo-Marxist green-red alliance are like the appeasers Winston Churchill accused in World War II of feeding the crocodile in the hope he eats them last.

The violent chaos on the streets of France shows us our own future if the ascendant revolutionary left gains a foothold.
