Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will pay an official visit to Türkiye on Oct. 22-23 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Türkiye's Communications Director Burhanettin Duran announced on Wednesday.

In a statement on US social media platform X, Duran said the visit would mark a historic milestone in bilateral relations, with the two countries expected to elevate their ties to the level of a strategic partnership.
访问期间，埃尔多安和卡尼将全面回顾土耳其与加拿大的合作各方面，并讨论进一步加强双边关系的措施。杜兰表示，两国领导人还将就当前地区和全球局势交换意见。预计访问期间还将签署若干涵盖双边合作各领域的协议。
During the visit, Erdogan and Carney will review all aspects of cooperation between Türkiye and Canada and discuss steps to further strengthen bilateral relations. The leaders will also exchange views on current regional and global developments, Duran said. Several agreements covering various areas of bilateral cooperation are also expected to be signed during the visit.
